Utah or Bust

This Christmas was super exciting because it was the first time in five years we were home for the holidays. Things went well and we got home safe, other than the flight being delayed an extra 4 hours, gotta love that Utah snow.

Life with two kids has been very crazy and unexpected. Unexpectedly motivating! Who would have thought that turning 30 and having my second baby was just the jump start I needed. This year I wrote a list of 10 things I would try to work on to improve myself, my life, blah, blah, blah. Anyway it's working, I am already done with half the list! So this is a thanks to my kids. Apparently I work well with a full plate. Just wait world I am on my way to that woman I have always wanted to be.

Thankful!

Tonight I am thankful for the health of my family! Porter gave me the scare of my life when he started foaming from the mouth, long story short he is fine. After a call to 911 and an ER visit I know only that I am blessed with healthy babies and will try to take nothing in my life for granted.
Mark is out of town and my panic quickly turned a small situation into a big mess with six neighbors, five paramedics and one firetruck outside my house. Jack thought the ambulance ride was pretty cool and Porter was asleep by the time we saw the doctor.

Hope of a new day!

So I have been trying to think of something meaningful to write about this moment to convey to my boys how very proud I feel but I am at a loss. I am not meaningful nor am I inspirational so all I can say is I believe in the hope of a new day!

Winter weather blues

Jacks summer way of asking to go outside and play was to bring me his swim diapers so this is our winter compromise.

Brothers

"How Funny!" Well I guess you had to be there but Mark and I were laughing our heads off. Jack is turning out to be a great big brother. Pretty much he leaves Porter to himself for the most part but I can't wait till they want to run and play together. Hopefully that day will come soon, right?
